About me

Who are you and where are you from?

Hi. I'm Antony Bindilatti Arnoni, but I prefer to use my artistic name Tony of the Templar, TonyAnima Projects and TonyToriusImages. Born in São Paulo on April 24, 1995, and living somewhere in Brazil, I started to enjoy artistic works, especially traditional, digital (made in Gimp, SAI and Photoshop) and 3D - from 3D Studio Max and Maya to Blender. Despite I'm graduated in accounting and now I'm studying business management, art is one of the few things that motivates me.

What are your tools to work?

Mostly I use Blender for 3D works. For the mini-game main engine, I use Unity 3D with some knowledge in C# script language and a bit of JavaScript. I know there are other game engines like Unreal, but I'm used to Unity since it is simple to work with, to code some scripts and understand the basics.

I also use Gimp program and Easy Paint Tool SAI for digital artworks. At first I used paint for some concepts. I know some people use digital tablets for drawing and sculpt in Blender, ZBrush, SAI and other programs. Unfortunately I don't have it and I really need to do some research for one at a good price.

For making my videos, I used Camtasia Studio until we had to reinstall the Windows in our (my brother and I) computer. Then we moved to Lightworks, but we found it a bit complicated to work and the audio was concentrated in one side instead of both. Not to mention the audio is out of sync to the video. But now, we are using HitFilms and Open Broadcaster Software Studio (or simply by OBS Studio) to record and stream videos.

What are my main works?

For those who are interested in my mini-games, I'll leave the images from the main ones I created (with some frozen due to long time without attending to some things in the projects).

My first RTS (Real Time Strategy) mini-game:

Probably my first attempt of making a mini-game was this one. The original idea was trying to adapt the Mega Bloks Dragons: Krystal Wars - consisting the Norvagen, Vorgan and Draigar in a great battle (similar to StarCraft and WarCraft series). For the mini-game there would be a fourth nation: the Drajittar Kingdom. What I did (based on the tutorials from Guto + Game Dev YouTube channel) was: the selection box, the resources, the villager (the first unit in a RTS) walking, collecting resources, building structures, a class system and the day-night cycle (although this one was based on GamesIndie's tutorial).

The buildings and the resources were made with 3D Studio Max - with the exception of the trees as the stalk was made in Unity. I tried to make the villager for the mini-game, but the results weren't promising from that time.

However the project didn't went forward as the tutorials from Guto's YT channel halted for a good time (with the last videos focused on the Fog of War).

My first TPS (Third Person Shooter) mini-game of Claymore:

The next project was the Claymore inspired mini-game. I tried to include Priscilla from my first Blender project along her walking and standing animation. However, after I updated Unity, the model's limbs and head stretched in a disturbing way. Then it was another frozen project.

My War Thunder / IL-2 Sturmovik BOS inspired game:

Probably my first project to be introduced in TonyAnima Projects' channel was the War Thunder / IL-2 Sturmovik BOS inspired game with the Spitfire, Bf 109, P-51D Mustang and the P-38G Lightning. I made the plane's selection scene thanks to a tutorial I found on YouTube (you can search it in my last Blogs) along the plane's controls and throttle (pretty simple but limited). I plan to revisit it and learn new things after a comment on the video - telling me to use physics.

My CoD Zombies / Left 4 Dead inspired game:

My recent project involving WW2 firearms and Minecraft-styled zombies. This one had some further development than my previous projects, but there are some things requiring adjustments. But at the time I was working on it, I made the player's HUD, the weapons script, the bullet holes script and once again, the class system.

What are my social media network?

Before adopting the Blogspot, I used to share some of my works at Google+ and DeviantArt. After Google announcement of disabling Google+ after the personal information leakage, I had to find a replacement to share my videos and my renders. For that, I made some research and found out this platform is an interesting one. As for the videos, I decided to create a new YouTube channel. I used to share few Unity videos on my previous channel - which by now is a gaming content channel.

The new YouTube channel is TonyAnima Projects - homonym to my first Blogspot. I use it to share my Blender timelapse video series, small tutorials and Unity videos.

For my other places where I'm active, I have Instagram, Twitter (although I use it to share my gaming content) and Facebook page.
