A mini-game inspired on Call of Duty Zombies and Left 4 Dead

Hello everyone. It's me Antony, back with another Blog during this quarantine phase while the World makes their best to find a (possible) cure for the COVID-19 pandemic. And nothing like a good Blog to entertain you.

For this Blog, I'll talk about an idea I have for a mini-game inspired on Call of Duty Zombies and Left 4 Dead.

Though it's an idea and I don't have a proper sketch in how it would be looking like, by initial ideas it will be inspired in these two games where you play as a survivor (I guess it will have a versus mode where you can play as a zombie and defeat the survivors before they can escape) in a city and the entire population has turned into zombies. There will be some special zombies like those from L4D (Hunter, Boomer, Smoker, Tank, Charger, Jockey, Spitter and the uncommon zombies from L4D2).

I have some renders of my zombies for the mini-game.

Although they were made in Minecraft-style - as part for a Midterm Project, it will made things a little laborious in case you want that hyper realistic zombie with grotesque appearance like from those zombie games. Plus, I'm still trying to make a near realistic character on Blender, but for this mini-game the characters will be made in this style. In case you want to see more images for this midterm project, here's the link to a TonyAnima Projects Blog

Since it will be inspired on CoD Zombies from World at War, the main firearms will be from World War 2 era like the M1 Garand, Browning M1919 LMG, Thompson M1A1, MP40, Gewehr 43, Karabiner 98k, Sturmgewehr 44, MG34, MG42, PPSh-41, Tokarev SVT-40, Mosin Nagant M1943 and other firearms.

Here are the renders for my firearms. There are some requiring adjustments and corrections at the mesh and texture, but for this Blog I'll show you what I did so far:

M1 Garand:

Sturmgewehr 44:

Thompson M1A1 SMG:

Browning M1919 LMG:

Maschinenpistole 40:

Stielhandgranate M24:

This is what I got so far. As I said before, there are some firearms requiring adjustments - taking the example for the MP40, M1 Garand, Browning M1919 LMG and Sturmgewehr 44. There are others under development like the Bazooka M1A1 and Panzerschreck RPzB but I don't have the renders for these firearms. Probably I'll render them when I can. Aside from these, there will be others like sideguns (Luger P-08, Walther P38, Mauser C96, Colt M1911, Beretta M9, Glock, Nagant Revolver, Tula Tokarev, Remmigton, Enfield Pistol), Bolt-action rifles (Springfield M1903, Lee Enfield, Carcano M1891/38), Anti-tank rifles, (PTRD-41, PTRS-41, Boys AT, Panzerbüchse 39), automatic guns (AVS-36, AVT-40, M2 Carbine), SMG (PPS-43, Thompson M1921, MP34, PPD-41), LMG (DP-28, Browning 'BAR', MG13, Lewis Gun, RPD, Maxim Tokarev, Chauchat), hand grenades (American Mk II, RGD 33, S.T. No 74 - Stick Bomb) and special guns (Kaessun Agaraak - my Ulzikrarun assault rifle based on the StG 44, flamethrowers).

That's it for today. I hope you enjoy it. I'll be back with more Blogs in this year. I plan to share more artworks and other things I did in my time. Until the time comes, you will be surprised to see it. See you next time.
