Absence and M1903 Springfield Rifle - For the mini-game inspired on CoD Zombies and L4D
Hello everyone. It's me Antony, back with another Blog. We are now on July 22 of 2022; hoping for the things to get better as the World continues in this fight for survival and to develop a (possible) cure for the COVID-19 pandemic.
I know. I have been away for quite a while without sharing new blogs here. The reasons are the same: job, university and more civil service exams to study and perform to get another job with better pay conditions. And again, Warframe brought a new Nightwave chapter, which will be a pain in my butt. Still, these things always take my attention, making the progress to slow down. (sigh)
For this Blog, I'm going to bring new images of a new addition to the mini-game. It's still in development, but I hope you like it. I started the M1903 Springfield Rifle - American's bolt-action rifle built from the German Mauser Model 1893 as the American troops needed a replacement for the outclassed Norwegian Springfield Model 1892–99 Krag–Jørgensen rifle. With the new rifle, the United States used the M1903 rifle from the Spanish-American War to World War I, World War II and Post-Korean War (with limited use in the Vietnam War as the M1 Garand was designated as sniper rifle in the C and D versions).
Let me show you the M1903 Springfield Rifle.
Only some minor modifications were made to redesign the American's rifle from the German rifle, like the iron sights, the bolt, the firing pin, the wooden pieces and material, the butt-plate and the stock. The Armature remains the same. I shall reuse it for the Russian / Soviet Mosin-Nagant, the Italian Carcano M1891 and M91/38 Fucile, the British Lee-Enfield, the Japanese Type 99 Arisaka and other bolt-action rifles.
And again, the rifle received new modifications on the front grip, firing pin and safety lock. It's looking good.
I changed the original 7,92×57mm Mauser rounds by 30.06 Springfield rounds, along the removal of the disassembly component from the rifle's receptor and a rework on the trigger.
I also have the original 8x scope for the M1903 rifle with the double haircross instead of the German T-sights. I plan to render it after the rifle is complete to make the scoped version for the American sharpshooters. Now the only thing that remains are: the rear sight, the magazine selector button (the M1903 rifles has a magazine selector button to switch between all rounds to single shot), a rework on the receptor and the front grip.
Well, that's it for today. I hope you enjoy it. I'll be back with more Blogs in this year - if nothing change in order to make me occupied like job, studies and civil service exams. I plan to share more artworks and other things I did in my time. Until the time comes, you will be surprised to see it. See you next time.
