Updates for the M1903 Springfield Rifle and the MP40 - For the mini-game inspired on CoD Zombies and L4D
Hello everyone. It's me Antony, back with another blog in 2022. We are now on September 30 - past the half of 2022; hoping for the things to get better. Now that I'm working and studying, my time for Blogs decreased to some occasions and some weekends.
For this month, my university semester is in course - in which my attention will have to be re-directed to the new tasks, in addition to my studies and job (which are quite stressful but I'm used to. Haha. After that, I think I'll take a break from university and public exams as soon as I settle down for good).
For this Blog, I'm going to bring new images of the M1903 Springfield Rifle and the Maschinenpistole 40.
M1903 Springfield Rifle:
The M1903 Springfield received a major update on its rear sight and the forward wooden guard. It no longer uses the original Mauser sights like in the previous renders. Now it's using the original sight from the model 1903 when it entered in service during WWI.
Although the sights wasn't complete until my recent renders (like those I will show you now), the Springfield rifle is looking good.
The last renders of the M1903 Springfield Rifle. Now it's looking outstanding with the new sights. Despite I have to complete it, I decided to render the rifle with the sights adjusted for distant targets (like in the last two renders). I'm not sure if I'm going to add this feature for the mini-game, but I'm pretty sure it would be interesting.
Also, the other change for the rifle was the trigger adjusted. After the rear sight, I'm going to rework the receptor and add the magazine selector button (the M1903 rifles has a magazine selector button to switch between all rounds to single shot).
Maschinenpistole 40:
I remade the MP40's pistol grip by extracting some pieces from the mesh to make the wooden / Bakelite grip while the remaining piece became the metal piece for the grip. In addition, I cut a hole on the rear component from where the stock is attached. I guess the hole is from where the belt is placed to the strap in the forward section of the gun.
Other changes were the gun's bolt - a little stretched; new bolts on the wooden components, and the dark brown color being replaced (in the future renders) by the wood material.
The components requiring rework are the barrel and its link.
Well, that's it for today. I hope you enjoy it. I'll be back with more Blogs in this year - if nothing change in order to make me occupied like job, studies and civil service exams. I plan to share more artworks and other things I did in my time. Until the time comes, you will be surprised to see it. See you next time.
